Questions:
3) In Goldstein’s book a theory is written about the High, Middle and low classes. It says that even though the world is in constant changes, these three classes will always be a part of society. It is described that the High wants to stay in their place, the Middle wants to change places with the High and that the Low is too tired to even have an aim or the need for a change; they already gave up. Because of the need of the Middle class to be in the highest level, the High class starts to see the danger to them of equality for all, so they try to stop it. This situation can relate to the present in regard to money. Nowadays, rich people keep on making lots of money and they’re always in a really well-off position; if they lose money, they won’t stop being rich. It’s all in their favor. Unlike them, people of the middle and sometimes the lower class live every day with a fair amount of money because of high taxes, for example.
4) There is one thing that is pretty accurate according to Orwell’s vision of the future, the control that media has over people. Media became really important all over the world; we can see that even the smallest company depends on it to become richer and more successful. It is usually used to promote the products of companies, but it is also used to control people’s decisions. One thing that might be opposite to nowadays is the division of the world and its constant wars, also the newspeak and doublethink. It’s not very predictable the vision of the war and division of the world, but seeing the actual situation of some countries and how people get even more obsessive with power and control over something, it might be possible in a distant future to become true Orwell’s vision.
5) I agree with Winston, because if people don’t let anyone harm them and are strong enough to fight against their oppressors, they are capable of changing the world to a better place for everyone; people shouldn’t be afraid of governments, governments should be afraid of people. It can relate to the world nowadays, because I believe people can fight for their rights if they have to, they just have to be strong and unify. Although there’s no need to generate a war, problems can be solved in a more peacefully way as long as governments or the people on charge listen to what they have to say.
Poem:
Don’t let them harm you now
Be strong enough to fight
They are the weak ones
and they should be afraid of us
Their time’s coming to an end
So we should rise up
And take the power back

A great way to spend your free time
How I spend my free time
I've been searching new ways to spend my free time for the past years. It's not a easy thing, because you have to like the activity you are willing to do, otherwise it'll be boring and you'll be wasting your time.
Trying and failing. That's what it's all about. I tried different activities at least for the last four or five years. I've met new people, new cultures, and obviously, new ways of having fun. The bad thing about this, is that most people only are free on weekends, that's the main reason why I concentrated on looking for some activities to do on Mondays or Tuesdays as well.
I've come to the point were I don't have any more my free time. In a way to say it, I'm wasting my time, but for useful things to do. And if I really learnt something is that, if you really want to do something, you have to risk yourself and be prepared for what comes. I started playing bass last December. I had absolutely no idea about Music, and I auto-taught myself. Now I can read tabs easily and I can play a song within 5 or less minutes. Now I even play the drums!
You have to be ready for the activity, and mostly important, you have to like what you're doing or have an interest on it. You can't know from the beginning, without even trying, that you are not good for it. With the bass, I thought I was going to be horrible at it, and now, after less than 8 months I can even play in pubs.
There are different sort of things you can do to spend your free time. From cooking, reading, drawing, to playing music, do some sports, going out with friends, etc.
You have to find what fits you the most, and start having fun!

Hello Anne! How's it going! I'm really happy to hear you're coming to Argentina. I'm glad that I can help you :)
In my opinion, I think the best time of the year to visit this country is Autumn, between April and May. The weather is not so hot, and it isn't that cold :)
If you want to meet people between 17-18 years old, I suggest going out at night to clubs, or going on a Saturday or Sunday to a park. Although I have another idea, how about coming to my School and meeting people our age? I could speak with the principal and ask him if you and your friends can stay in my Class as exchange Students.
In Fall you should wear simple clothes. Don't bring gloves or a scarf, but do bring a jacket, in the evenings the weather might get cold!
I would like to thank you for the invitation to join the group. Unfortunately I have exams for the rest of the month :(, so I'm pretty busy with School, but we can arrange to meet at weekends and I could be a tourguide in the city. I'll show you some of the most interesting buildings in Argentina.
I have to keep studying now. Write me back soon!
Goodbye :)
Micaela.
